What's it about?
The European
Day of Languages is a yearly event held on 26 September. It celebrates the
linguistic diversity of a continent with over 200 European languages.
Why do we celebrate this day?
It's a
chance to:
-
raise
awareness of the wide variety of languages in Europe.
-
promote
cultural & linguistic diversity.
- encourage
people of all ages to learn languages - knowing more than one makes it easier
to connect with people, to find a job and to help businesses grow.
Students
from Escola Meritxell, ESO & BATXILLERAT, decided to talk about different
aspects about learning languages, some of them explained bilingualism, others
why they learn languages or what languages are for. They recorded some videos
to tell us about their opinion in an enjoyable way. Attach you will find some
videos from 1st ESO to 2nd Batxillerat.
We hope you
like them!
